Christmas (Cristes, Cristemasse) is a feast on which we celebrate the birth of Jesus of Nazareth. He was an Israelite and a dissident Jew, a human being of the margins both of his Galilean origin, the circumstances of his birth, and the teachings he shared with the people who followed him in his ministry. He lived in a historical moment when the dream of creating one of these nations (Galilee, Samaria, and Judea) had not yet been realized.

La Navidad (Natívitas—nacimiento) es una fiesta donde se celebra el nacimiento de Jesús de Nazaret quien fue un israelita y un judío disidente, un ser humano de los márgenes tanto por su origen galileo, las circunstancias de su nacimiento y por las enseñanzas que compartía con las personas que le seguían en su ministerio. Él vivió en un momento histórico donde el sueño de hacer una de estas dos naciones (Galilea-Samaria y Judea) no se acababa de concretar. Hoy día a esos dos países se les conoce como Palestina e Israel.

A foreign person is an individual whose native or ethnic origin differs from the nation where they now live. Foreign people often have a different way of speaking or language from the host country, hold views about the world that may differ from the homeland where they currently reside, and embrace dissimilar cultural customs. Sometimes, foreign nationals do not enjoy the same rights as nationals or natives of that state. In addition, there may be circumstances in which the foreigner suffers rejection attacks, hateful behavior, or xenophobic treatment from the natives of the host country.

Las razones que mueven a un ser humano a dejar su patria natal son muy variadas, incluyendo la curiosidad propia del ser humano, la búsqueda de oportunidades de desarrollo cultural, la mejoría de condiciones económicas, tener acceso a servicios especializados de salud y el querer vivir en una nación con seguridad política. También estos movimientos migratorios ocurren por desplazamientos forzados, por persecuciones políticas y en ocasiones por motivaciones ajenas a la persona, como en el caso de los niños y niñas.

1. Un Capellán o Capellana es una persona que ha aceptado un llamado especial para servir en el ministerio de la consejería y psicoterapia pastoral al guiar, reconciliar, sanar y sostener a personas en crisis, a individuos que enfrentan problemas emocionales y espirituales.
